Project Zwaagdijk – DN1400 tapping saddles
Commissioned by PWN and A. Hak Water & Gastechniek, we supplied specially developed tapping saddles (Ø1595 mm) for the WRK III drinking water transport pipeline in North Holland. This innovative solution enabled safe access to the pipeline over a length of 250 metres without the need to cut into the concrete pipeline, minimizing disruption and maintaining the integrity of the infrastructure. Our tapping saddles successfully met the stringent project requirements, demonstrating complete watertightness during a rigorous pressure test of 12 bar for 3 hours. The project highlights our expertise in developing custom-engineered solutions for critical water infrastructure applications.
